PERIODIC TABLE
“Play”
Τhe curtain opens. The lights turn on. All the elements of the periodic table are shown. Up high, Ηhydrogen stands alone and behind him, a portrait of Mendeleev, the father of all elements. (Oxygen enters on the stage with Titanium).
- OX: What’s up big guy? Is everything alright?
- TIΤ: How could anything possibly be “Alright” when our useless ruler sleeps the sleep of the just?
- OX: (Puffs with indignation) Titanium! Don’t start again!
- TIT: I’m not going to tolerate Hydrogen doing whatever he wants. Yes, he is the firstborn, but enough is enough.
- OX: Well, I think you're becoming unfair.
- TIT: Really? Why?
- OX: Don’t forget that we have abandoned him with all the Metals, the scoundrels. We should feel sorry for him.
- TIT: Give me a break! I will never feel anything but hate for him!
- NE: Well said dear colleague! (New appears)
- OX: Another insurgent in our lives….

(Bromines' twin brother, Osmium, enters)

OSM: Come closer…
(All the present elements are gathered)
- NE: Bromine, leave now by my side. I can’t stand your smell!
- BP: Okay, okay. .
- OX: Will you stop at last? I’m drowning!
- NE: You can’t breathe, eh?
- OX: Ha, ha very funny. You say too much, don’t you think? Just because you are the youngest, doesn’t mean we will tolerate you.
- OSM: Not anymore...
(Everyone stares at Osmium)
- OX: What do you mean?

- OSM: Sh. Silence!
- OX: Oh no!

(Enters the Arsenic)

- Yes father! (They say all together with a voice, a wide smile in their face and they hug, for Christ shake!)
